Plans for 2012

Hello everyone, Have not stitched a stitch on the Geisha this weekend, But I have kept up with my owls but haven't taken any photographs yet.. but here is what I am stitching to keep you all in the loop,

So then I had to thinking, what are my stitching goals for 2012 - I am normally a go with the flow kind of girl, but thought I must want to achieve a few things, so I am hoping to achieve certain stitching designs, I'm not saying i'm going to be finishing all what I say, but at least I could try....

  • My Enchanting Geisha will be my first priority and will come before any other design as I want to finish her this year, not sure how long it will take me, but I'm sure I'll get there

  • A Wise Old Owl 'Of the moment' by Historical Sampler Company (The first picture above) There is no rush to finish this, I'm not sure what I am going to do with the final piece, I have quite alot of my stitched pieces framed, so ideas?!

  • I need to finish my dimensions gold 'A Holiday Village', This is the best picture I actually have it, although I will take a better one for an update, I started this in August 2011 and stopped November 2011 to stitch a few others for Christmas, I think Ill start back in a couple of months and hopefully *fingers crossed* have it stitched up and framed for Christmas this year, below my picture is the final design

  • This deign I spotted in last months Cross stitcher magazine, and I hope that I will have time to stitch it this year, as when I looked at it, I just loved it and it is something totally different to what I would normally stitch, When I do finish it I would like to turn it into a cushion (might have to brush up on the old sewing machine) This is the only photograph that I can find of it on-line and was taken from the magazines website, Its the blue butterfly with the white lace stitching around it

I hope to stitch these designs, but there is no rush, so it wouldn't really matter if I end up still stitching them next year, as long as I am still enjoying stitching them, that's the most important thing to me. I will still do some little stitches in between the big designs to mix it up a bit, I am also aiming to make a little design to hang from my scissors, as I seem to mislay them quite often whilst stitching and Shaun is the one that seems to find them.. well sit on them! hehe

Hope youre all stitching more than me this weekend, and having a good one - Gem x
